Photographic Series.
The longing for that familiar sound and the appearance of fascinating and unexpected materialities thrives my impulse. The impulse: to pour a bag of corn over the hot oil and become an intimate spectator behind the lens.
This work arises during the time of isolation, and alludes to that feeling of seclusion, feeling like contained matter and in a state of alert, like a grain of corn that has not yet exploded.
This photographic series makes us participants of a very personal contemplation exercise that speaks of the need for expression, of that contained creative force that is like a grain of corn that we carry inside and that when exploded results in a Big Bang of beautiful singularities.
